Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to all athletes registering for the Luxembourg Armwrestling Competition organized by Armwrestling Club Strassen. By submitting the registration form, the participant confirms that they have read, understood, and accepted the conditions below.

1. Event information

Registration / weigh-in: 19 April 2027, 18:00 – 20:00 and 20 April 2027, 09:00 – 11:30

The final event date, schedule, and practical details may be updated by the organizer before the competition.

2. Registration information

  • Participants must provide accurate and complete information during registration.
  • The organizer may request additional information if needed to verify eligibility.
  • Incorrect, incomplete, or misleading information may result in refusal of registration or disqualification.
  • Photos are not uploaded through the public registration page and will be handled separately by the tournament manager.

3. Category rules & verification

  • Some categories may be limited by sex, age, body weight, or practice experience.
  • Participants may register in multiple categories if eligible.
  • An ID card or official identification document may be required on the event day to verify registration details.
  • The organizer reserves the right to verify any information provided by the participant.
  • The organizer has the final decision regarding category eligibility.

4. Amateur category

  • The amateur category is intended for athletes with low experience who are starting in the sport.
  • To enter an amateur category, the athlete must have less than one year of practice in a club.
  • The athlete must not have achieved a podium in any previous armwrestling competition.
  • Club information may be requested and club presidents or representatives may be contacted to verify eligibility.
  • If the organizer considers that an athlete does not meet the amateur requirements, the athlete may be moved to another category or refused from the amateur category.

5. Weigh-in

  • A tolerance of 0.1 kg is accepted due to normal scale variation and daily conditions.
  • No weigh-in will be accepted if the athlete is strictly more than 0.1 kg above the category limit.
  • The organizer may refuse participation in a weight-limited category if the athlete does not meet the required weight.

6. Payment & refund policy

  • The registration fee is 25€ per arm, per category.
  • Payment is made on-site only during registration / weigh-in times.
  • Payment is accepted in cash only.
  • Registration / weigh-in times are 19 April 2027 from 18:00 to 20:00 and 20 April 2027 from 09:00 to 11:30.
  • A refund will only be granted if a registered category per arm is not organized and not played on the day of the tournament.
  • No refund will be issued once the category has started or has been played.
  • No refund will be issued for absence, voluntary withdrawal, late arrival, failed weigh-in, incorrect information, or disqualification.

7. Event schedule

  • 19 April 2027, 18:00 – 20:00: registration and weigh-in.
  • 20 April 2027, 09:00 – 11:30: registration and weigh-in.
  • 11:30 – 13:00: lunch break.
  • 13:00: competition starts.
  • The left arm categories start first and are estimated to last 1 to 2 hours.
  • After a short break, the right arm categories start and are estimated to last 1 to 2 hours.
  • The estimated finish time for left and right arm categories is around 17:00.
  • A possible open category among podium athletes from pro categories may be decided on the day of the event.

The schedule is indicative and may be adapted by the organizer depending on the number of athletes, category size, and event flow.

8. Safety, conduct & liability

Armwrestling is a physical combat sport that involves effort, pressure, and risk of injury. By participating, the athlete understands and accepts the inherent risks linked to the sport.

  • Warm-up tables will be provided before the competition.
  • Rules and refereeing instructions will be explained before the start of the tournament.
  • Dangerous positions and unsafe behavior will not be tolerated.
  • Participants must follow the instructions of referees and event staff at all times.
  • The organizer may stop a match, warn an athlete, refuse participation, or disqualify an athlete for unsafe, disrespectful, or dangerous behavior.

The participant competes at their own risk. The organizer cannot be held responsible for injuries resulting from participation, except in cases where responsibility cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

9. Warm-up zone & afterpull area

  • During the official event, the warm-up zone is strictly accessible only to athletes wearing the official event badge.
  • This restriction is in place for safety, organization, and athlete preparation.
  • After around 17:00, the tables in the warm-up zone may be used for afterpull in priority by badge-carrying athletes.
  • After the official competition, public access to the tables may be allowed only if accepted by the organizer and with a liability discharge in case of injury.
  • The organizer may restrict or stop access to the tables at any time for safety reasons.

10. Medical fitness

  • The participant confirms that they are physically fit to compete.
  • The participant confirms that they have no known medical condition preventing safe participation.
  • If unsure, the participant should consult a medical professional before competing.
  • The organizer is not responsible for undisclosed medical conditions.

11. Check-in & late arrival

  • Participants must complete event check-in, cash payment, ID verification, and weigh-in before competing.
  • Participants must be available when their category is called.
  • Late arrival may result in removal from the category without refund.
  • The organizer may adapt the order of categories for practical reasons.

12. Data protection

Registration data is collected only for tournament organization, participant management, eligibility verification, and event communication.

  • Data may include name, email, country, club information, selected categories, and consent choices.
  • Data will not be sold or communicated externally for commercial purposes.
  • Data may be accessed only by the organizer and people directly involved in organizing the event.
  • Participants may request correction or deletion of their data by contacting the organizer.

13. Email communication

  • Event-related emails may be sent to participants regarding their registration, schedule, category updates, or practical information.
  • Emails about future club events will only be sent if the participant gives optional consent during registration.
  • Participants may ask to stop receiving future event emails at any time.

14. Photos, video & media

Photos and videos may be taken during the event for documentation, promotion, social media, and club communication.

  • By participating in the event, the athlete understands that they may appear in event photos or videos.
  • The organizer may use event media for non-commercial promotion of the club and competition.
  • If a participant has a specific concern about media use, they should contact the organizer before the event.

15. Modifications & cancellation

  • The organizer may modify the schedule, category order, or practical organization of the event.
  • Categories may be merged, changed, added, removed, or adapted depending on registrations and demand.
  • The organizer may postpone or cancel the event in case of safety issues, force majeure, venue issues, or other serious circumstances.
  • If the event is modified or canceled, the organizer will communicate relevant information to participants when possible.

16. Acceptance of terms

By submitting the registration form, the participant confirms that:

  • they have read and accepted these Terms & Conditions;
  • the information provided is accurate;
  • they understand the rules, risks, fees, and eligibility conditions;
  • they accept that the organizer has the final decision on participation and category eligibility.
